ABOUT
In 2012, I received my Bachelors in Telecommunications and went on to pursue a career in Marketing and Public Relations until 2018. I worked with major clients such as Nabisco, Mars Chocolate, and UPS, to name a few, before taking a job at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center as part of their Global Branding team. I am currently enrolled at the University of Houston as a Post=baccalaureate student, and am working towards my dream career as a Registered Dietitian.
My time at MD Anderson taught me a number of valuable lessons regarding business, relationships and all things branding. I was in charge of onboarding new members of MD Anderson Cancer Network(R), walking the new member Marketing teams through brand guidelines and educating future members about how to market our program to their audience. Part of my job entailed reviewing all co-branded marketing materials from hospitals all over the world. The amount of materials focusing on food as cancer prevention blew me away, and these pieces were always ones I enjoyed reading. It was here when I realized my love for fitness, wellness and food could potentially turn into so much more: a career.
Following my passion and beginning this career change has been one of the most exciting parts of my adult life, and I am elated to be able to change lives for the better and make a substantial impact as a Registered Dietitian.
